Pushpa 2 Box Office Day 2: Allu Arjun’s mass entertainer roars into records! After smashing all records on Day 1 as the biggest Indian opener ever, the film crossed Rs 400 crore worldwide in two days. The Telugu action drama directed by Sukumar is the sequel to the 2021 release Pushpa: The Rise. According to early estimates, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the Rs 400 crore gross mark worldwide with a two-day total of Rs 265 crore net (India). The phenomenal collections reflect the immense love and excitement for Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj.

The film about the rise of a gutsy nobody to the top echelons of a smuggling syndicate found resonance across the country. In fact, in an interview on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Unstoppable with NBK, Allu Arjun spoke about how it was very distressing to not see a single male Telugu actor’s name in the Best Actor list, and Pushpa’s role in making history. Finally, the journey that started in December 2021 will come full circle this December as Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to hit theatres on Thursday.

Despite various controversies surrounding Pushpa 2, including a purported tiff between director Sukumar and Allu Arjun, and a public spat between composer Devi Sri Prasad and producers Mythri Movie Makers, the film has been completed, and is gearing up for a blockbuster opening. Major credit to the hype surrounding the film has to go to the intense promotional drive spearheaded by Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. They kept the movie in the news for the past couple of weeks by relentless promotions in cities like Patna, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
Reportedly, Pushpa’s sequel has leaked on torrent platforms and websites such as Ibomma, Movierulz, Tamilrockers, Filmyzilla, TamilYogi, Tamilblaster, Bolly4u, Jaisha Moviez, 9xmovies, and Moviesda. Movies on these platforms are easily available for streaming after registration.
Apart from Allu Arjun, other actors who would be reprising their roles from the first installment include Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Prathap Bhandari, and Dhananjaya.

Despite the leak, the film has recorded promising box office collections globally. As per trade aggregator Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 made an impressive Rs 165 crore nett on its first day in the theatres in India. It made Rs 10.1 crore in Telugu in Wednesday previews, which takes its total opening to Rs 175.1 crore. Globally, Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 282 crore gross, making it the highest opener ever for an Indian film.
Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil opened to largely positive reviews. The Sukumar directorial film has been made on a whopping Rs 400 crore budget. The film, originally made in Telugu, is released in various languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
